The birds were fed again in the cold of February

On a sunny, but cold and frosty Saturday morning two ESC volunteers from Debrecen and some young student visited the Békás lake in the Nagyerdő with that purpose to fill up the existing birdfeeders with food. Thus, help the birds eat in the winter time too.

The School Community Service performer students and the Centre Youth Association’s volunteers gathered at the bus station which is at the entrance of the Békás lake. Because everybody arrived on time, they didn’t have to wait much. After one of the ESC volunteers told that in two sentences, how the activity will look like, then they went to the woods immediately. During the walk they watched where they find the first bird feeder to fill that up immediately. Soon they have found and they refilled it instantly. Then they were moving forward. On the way the volunteers kept with words the small, young youngsters with some questions, and a little conversation began, while they looked for where are other empty bird feeders which they can refill. When they have refilled all of the feeders and they took a small walk around the Békás lake in that beautiful sunrise and admired the frozen lake and the small ducks too.

After this they said goodbye to each other and everybody went to their warm homes.
