METFO IV. – Round Table Conversation

Some people are don’t know where they would like to go for further education after final school exam. There are few who checked some universities but they don’t know well in details enough the given faculty. So, we organized a new County Studies Forum (METFO), where we could invite two university students again who presented their own faculties in the framework of our METFO event. This time a mechanical/electricity engineer and a lawyer introduced us the mysteries of their profession.

Our first rapporteur was Máté Orosz who graduated from the University of Debrecen mechanical engineer faculty and currently he studies at the electric engineer faculty, also he has learnt in Budapest before. He told these courses’ beauties, but he hasn’t missed the pitfalls either. He compared the education in Budapest and Debrecen with the advantages and disadvantages. After all of this he spoke about the different kind of programs and of course to the job opportunities too.

Our second rapporteur was Enikő Szarvas, who studies at the University of Debrecen currently on the Lawyer faculty. She told us the faculty’s important cornerstones, then she went into the details, like in which years what kind of legislations they learn. According to her it is important to prepare to it in secondary school because this major boasts a fairly high score. Enikő told that the first year is hard and there is a lot to learn but the year prepares you for the others too. After she served the course from the top to bottom and her experiences the participants bombed her with different questions so an informal conversation developed.

At the end we have learnt a lot about these majors and how these are operates and collecting a lot of information by this.
