The III. Amateur Table Tennis Championship was organised in Nyíregyháza

This year we implemented for the third time the Amateur Table Tennis Championship in the Community FACES Youth Office and Community Space which is our own table tennis rally which’s purpose is the team building.

The purpose of the competition is to form and keep the community by hobby and amateur players. Also, by this young people can get know our youth office’s opportunities and they can come to the office in their free time or after school. The last goal of this event was to the participants could try out themselves in a competitive situation all of this for totally free.

Unfortunately, only 9 young people participated on this occasion. However, we could see better and better matches by players with different skills. At the beginning of the tournament the players played in group matches then they played by straight elimination method for the first place.

They achieved the podium places in the competition:
I. place: Bence Bakos
II. place: Dávid Szilárd Gombás
III. place: Krisztián Kiss

In summary it can be told another great and exciting table tennis competition was implemented, so we still planning next occasions. This year we won’t organise more championships but we are waiting for many interested people in 2023 either where to we plan a lot of new things.
