Bye-Bye Party in Debrecen

On September 4th, we held a farewell party for our ESC volunteer, Boróka Fodor.

When our ESC volunteers arrive, we organize welcome parties to help them get to know the organization, staff, youth leaders, and the office where they will volunteer. But of course, we always hold a farewell event at the end of the project as well. During these occasions, we say goodbye to the volunteer in a fun way, and they can reflect on the most beautiful moments they’ve had with us, highlight their favorite programs and places, and share their experiences and insights. This was no different for Boróka, who came to us from Transylvania and spent a year in Hungary.

However, something was different about this farewell because it wasn’t a real goodbye! From mid-September, Boróka will be joining the KÖZ-Pont team as a staff member. This is also a possibility with ESC volunteering, as many of our volunteers from Transylvania have become staff members over the years.
