International programs

History, Aims:

Our Association is an EVS sending, hosting and coordinating organisation. The EVS (European Voluntary Service) is an international program for youth (between 17-30 age), to make voluntary activities abroad for 2-12 months. EVS is a great opportunity to try out yourself, to travel and learn languages! The project is connected to the Erasmus + program which is supported by the European Union. The costs of travel, accomodation, meal are paid by the program.
The Centre Youth Association has been already sent volunteers to Finland, Spain, Germany, Liechtenstein, Slovakia, and we hosted Latvian, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, Georgian, French and Turkish volunteers since 2008.

We usually take part in the shorter international youth programs too. These programs takes 6-10 and our fellow workers, youth leaders and volunteers take part in 6-8 program per year.

We also have other international connections: we are member of EYF (European Youth Foundation) and the Juventus Soliditas too.
The Juventus Soliditas is a professional youth network in the Carpathian Basin, which has meetings in each year and they are also organising presentations and conversations is different tasks. It has worked since 2012.
The European Youth Foundation (EYF) is financed by the Europe Council, which give financial support local, regional, national and international organisations to achieve their purposes.
Our Association has been a registered member of this Foundation since December of 2015 and we also took part one of their yearly seminar in February of 2016.

The KDT (Kárpát-medencei Diákönkormányzatok Találkozója - Meeting of the Student Self Governments from the Carpathian Basin) was one of the most important event of the Centre Youth Association. This program invited Hungarian students from Transylvania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Ukraine. The one week long program was in Nyíregyháza, where the nearly 100 participants could take part in courses about Student Self-Government to develope themselves.
