Karcag Youth and Children Office

History, Aims:

The Karcag Youth and Children Office created in 2020 by the cooperation of the Karcag City Municipality and Centre Youth Association.

The Karcag City Student Government (KVDÖK) took part in the forming, planning, furnishing. The internal space’s transformation is started in 2020. February which the members of KVDÖK enthusiastically caught up with. There was work to be done in all areas, from removing the wallpaper, repairing the walls, to painting, repairing doors and windows. By the end of the summer, the office had been transformed into a sophisticated, usable space. In the purchasing of the furniture the main role had taken by the Centre Youth Association, in which the ERSTE bank’s barter support is helped a lot. With this we had everything for that to we could open and present the office to the teachers and students of Karcag on October 14. The office has already hosted several DÖK programs. Staff meetings, board game afternoons, Halloween parties.

Our basic goal is to be a kind of community space which gives information and opportunities in different topics for the entering youngsters. In matters of Student Government, volunteering activities, School Community Service, European Solidarity Corps (ESC), international youth exchanges to the youngsters, teachers and parents.

The office is constantly waiting for volunteers, trainees applications for its programs’ organizer work and run the office. The Community Space can constantly provide space and opportunities for youngsters’ programs, events. To the events at best of our ability we can provide technical background, professional support, smaller hospitality.
