About Centre Youth Office and Community Space:

History, Aims:

The Centre Youth Office opened its’ gates in Marc 2008, mainly for the local people of Tócóskert.

We considered and we still consider it an important aim to provide help and support for those who live in the housing estate.

The role of the office is that is should work as a true community space in the future, and later on may be in the inner city as “a Centre in the Centre”. The aim is that everyone should get into the centre a little bit, as the target group of the office has a very wide scope and everyone is equally important. But we would like to give priority to those organisations that belong to our network.

So the office provides a chance to those volunteers who work in one of the organisations under the wings of the Association (secondary school and university students), to gain experiences in office work, in program management and organising, and to give them the opportunity to get to know other people, to make new friendships and to build their social network.

The office is open from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and with open doors we are waiting for young people who would like to spend their free time in a useful way, they are looking for a place to spend time together, they would like to have a good chat or they are in need of some kind of advice in connection with application writing, youth exchange programs, volunteering.

But we welcome parents and teachers who need any kind of help in connection with their children or their students. Or they would like to be informed about new opportunities, methods, or they just want to get more information about the questions concerning youth.

The role of the office is to transmit information through the fliers about non-profit organisations, cultural programs, international opportunities, questions concerning youth.

The Centre Youth Office and Community Space will give space to such programs that will bring young people a little bit closer to each other, and provide them with valuable entertainment.

Another important role of the office is to provide space for the informal organisations working under the wings of the Association, and for their programs, and also for everyday work.
