The project of foreign, ie non-Hungarian-speaking volunteers coming to the Köz-Pont Youth Association is primarily to teach English and their own mother tongue among the many activities. Due to the current Covid-19 epidemic this activity implements in different shape than the years before. The classes in case of secondary schools going in online way totally with using of different online platforms and tools. While in primary schools, traditional classroom teaching is possible in the present situation. For such occasions, one of our international staff accompanies them at all times.

Alejandro Sotodosos Alonso originally graduated as a primary school English and Spain language teacher in the University before he came to the Association, so for him it is a good opportunity to gain experience. He teaches in the Vasvári Pál Secondary School of Nyíregyháza Spain from the completely beginners to the advanced beginners in two different classes. He teaches English as well at B1-B2 levels for some students too. Also, he gives classes in the Apáczai Csere János Primary School some times for a small group, some times for classes, occasionally with Joele together.

Joele Damonte can communicate very well in his mother tongue, also in English he held several public speeches in both languages, so he has
practice in speaking. He holds Italian classes at the Ferenc Kölcsey Secondary School for advanced beginners and at B2 level. In the Vasvári Pál Secondary School he holds English classes for intermediate language examiners. In the Apáczai Csere János Primary School teaches English for the enthusiastic students.

Our volunteers not only came to teach, but also to study, as they attend Hungarian classes at one of the city's language schools several times a week.

Our plans include to be able to teach these languages in more primary and secondary schools in the future.
