Think for our Earth roundtable conversation

The Debrecen ESC volunteer girls, on 22th of April on the Earth day, with the title of Think for our Earth they organized an online roundtable conversation on the environmental protection week in the framework of the ÖMÉ.

The girls were already waiting for the beginning of the event, waiting for the joining of the participants with some fun melodic music. When everybody joined, the event started with a little introduction. After this, they outlined what will happen in the next few minutes.

Under the first topic, Global Warming as such was discussed with young people as topic. All of this was preceded by a small informational video also in line with the topic. They got richer with useful information by this. After this the next small video came which is analysed the topic selective waste collection. After they watched the video together and they shared their opinions, who how taking care of that to collect the waste selectively in their environment. Better and better ideas and opinions were uttered about that who thinks and do in order to collect the waste. Some people, for example, always carry their own small cup of coffee and ask them to take away the liquid they have bought, which they buy in a café or a confectionery. But there was a person for example: she measures the fruits and vegetables which she buys in the shop in her own canvas bag instead of a plastic bag. That was interesting how different this is from country to country because out-border participants are said that at them how the conscious waste collection is happening. The little conversation was followed with a great little quiz game with a lot of questions like which were uttered in the video. The competition was very tight, but in the end the result was born and a secondary school girl won the quiz game’s chocolate prize. They were all adept at the game but considering the comments it seemed that they were interested in the topic and they could join to the conversation. As a closing the ESC girls have been waiting for feedbacks from the participants, all this so, that they had to make a statement calling each other, about who takes what to home from this little meaningful afternoon and from the said things. Following this they said goodbye to each other.

The girls were glad they organized this program successfully and implement. They felt well and according to them and the feedbacks the youth had a great time too, so they have implemented a great plan with the support of the Centre Youth Association.
