Witaj na Węgrzech Maja!//Welcome to Hungary Maja!

On Monday, 26th of July we were finally able to throw a welcome party for our new volunteer in a place called Sheldon’s pub. Maja Cyroń is from Poland and she arrived at Debrecen last week, thus beginning her activites with the Association.

Just like every ESC volunteer, Maja received a shirt and a mug with the KÖZ-Pont logo and her name on it, which she happily accepted. To learn something new about each other and to grow together as a group we decided to play some team building and get-acquainted games, we talked about our hobbies, zodiac signs and about stories, memories and emotions behind our favourite objects. Our new volunteer tried to memorize and pronounce everyone’s names which was really challenging but she did well. The rest of us got to learn some new polish vocabulary. We had a nice time laughing, eating nachos, just enjoying each other’s company. Maja will be staying with us until the middle of November just like our other ESC volunteers (Timi, Samantha and Julie) in Debrecen.
