We said goodbye to our ESC volunteers of Nyíregyháza

At the end of the 2021-2022 ESC project, we said goodbye to 3 of our foreign volunteers and 1 hungarian speaker volunteer, from Lucía Ferrao, Nicola Reinker, Joele Damonte and Tímea Simon.

Our foreign not Hungarian speaker volunteers’ project is to develop the local youngster’s language knowledge and skills in English and in their mother tongue, the foreign Hungarian speaker volunteers was to describe the volunteering, broaden the fame of volunteering among local youngsters also help the student government.

On first of February 2021 Joele and Timi arrived then changed 2 volunteers at the beginning of September Lucía and Nicola have arrived to us. In 1 year, and 5 months they had part in many experiences and getting new knowledge and they told us they leave from the Association with good feelings and with sadness.

In this time period they could participate in many activities, also implemented. Start from the teaching, through different events which they organised, trips, camps, festivals they had part in volunteer activities and many more tasks.

For his outstanding work in 2021 Joele won the Volunteer of the year Award as a foreign ESC volunteer, which to in the last years there weren’t an example. We glad about that we could give to an ESC youngster again the award.

We thank their work in this way too and if they are in Hungary, they will get a warm welcome in one of our youth office also on our activities.
