We are looking for young people to our European Solidarity Corps project

Our Association is participating in one of the European Union’s volunteering projects which’s main target are the youth in the European Solidarity Corps. Now we are looking for young people who speaks Hungarian as mother tongue and no Hungarian speakers.

The European Solidarity Corps lets that for young people between 18 and 30 to try their luck in a foreign country in different kind of volunteering project. At least for 2 months, in total 12 months can a young person participate in another country in a volunteer project which topic can be chose by the volunteer from the projects which are offered. Following this after an admission period a sending organization sends the volunteer to the hosting organization to the project where the sending organization still tracks the activities of the volunteer and supports them.

In most of the project’s volunteers get food and pocket money, paid by the project free accommodation for them, a mentor who helps them in their own learning progress, also a coordinator who gives volunteering tasks for the participating person. There are varied offers each by each project but there are fix points in the projects which you can read in the ESC rules.

Our Association is looking for foreign young people for two projects. One of our projects is for no Hungarian speaker youngsters. In the framework of this project the young person who comes from the European Union teaches their mother tongue and English in an informal way for local youngsters for example in schools, language clubs, in person and in online. For Hungarian speaker foreign youngsters, the spreading volunteering, event organising, implement school community service activities is the project.

We are looking for volunteers with start on September 15, 2022 for 3 youngsters to Nyíregyháza, also 1 youngster to Szolnok for 5 months and other one for 10 months with an own closable door room, with 150 euros food money and 120-euro pocket money, with paid public transport, with Hungarian sim card, in case with a phone to make the communication easier.
